DAY 2 AUGUST 23rd CHERITON BISHOP TO ?

9.15 sharp, Ian and David are on the road out of the campsite (extremely nice one too - Springfields) onto the old A30 towards Exeter. Steve ,Craig and I are heading to the shops for a bit of 'retail therapy'. Ok I know that is really not likely, but I have to get to the Apple store before I am certified insane. Steve has to make a trip to Halfords for some super lube or other to stuff up the wheels so shopping to Exeter it is for us! What I failed to mention last night is that the wooden wheels, despite being kept moist before the trip, had started to dry out by the end of yesterday's trip. The front offside is the culprit and last night we watched as water was gently sprayed onto the wood to start to expand it again. By the morning, the moisture overnight had worked it's magic, but it was thought prudent to buy epoxy resin so this can be squirted into any gaps that appear - hence shopping. After an marathon walk into town from where we parked the motor hutch, mission accomplished with the ipad by downloading a handy app, even though the first guy in the store said photos couldn't be downloaded to the blog site. Thank goodness he was overheard by another assistant! With glue safely purchased by Steve we were on our way but worried we were considerably behind 1907, until we heard that it had been taking the scenic route into Exeter, enjoying it so much the same roads were visited several times!

Photos show Ian and David study the route and make tracks!
