Coundon Court, once home of George Singer

Our first stop of the morning was to George Singer's home at Coundon Court. It was a bit tucked away off the beaten track and as you can see from the previous photo, map studying was required to find it. At the campsite before we left, Barry had come to meet us in his Singer Gazelle and followed on with our wagon-train along the back roads of Coventry. And what a delight met us in this leafy glade that is Coundon Court. Jackie and John had come along with their Singer Senior 1927 2 seater with 'dickie', as had John with his 1926 Singer 10/26. John told us his car was exactly 86 years old having been registered in Bournemouth on 25th August 1926! Many photos followed and even BBC Coventry were interested in us and rang and spoke to Ian and myself about the trip so far. You hear the intereview on iplayer?
