In August 1912 my Great Grandfather, William Warn drove his 25HP Singer from Lands End to John O'Groats without stopping the engine. His three great grandchildren will try to replicate this in a 1907 Singer owned and driven by Ian North in August 2012.

RUB DOWN, GREASING & POLISH
Early arrival at campsite and nice weather = chores. Steve had been mentioning for most of the day (beware those of a delicate nature) that nipples needed greasing. Personally, I thought that was a bit more information than I needed to know, but it transpires that 'nipples' are something to do with the axles and that they need taking out and greasing! There seemed to be rather a lot of relish in this activity, so while he and Ian occupied themselves with the technical applications, David and I could lend a hand today and polish the brass.
